Stop Renting Your Supply Chain

Most “manufacturers” in this industry are marketing companies relying on outside job shops. That leaves their customers exposed to price changes, inconsistent quality, and unpredictable lead times.

Tactical Machining is different. We operate our own USA manufacturing facility with high-speed HAAS CNC mills and lathes.

Direct Cost Structure

Pricing is built around material, machine time, finishing, and project requirements instead of distributor markup.

Built for Repeatability

In-house fixtures, documented inspection, and established finishing relationships support consistent production across repeat orders.

Production capabilities

Precision You Can Measure

Quality is built into the process from incoming material through final batch verification.

Machining

Precision Milling

We hold critical lower-receiver dimensions, including trigger pin holes and pivot pin spacing, to within ±0.001". Custom fixtures are designed in-house for repeatability across large production runs.

Inspection

CMM Verification

Coordinate Measuring Machines digitally compare manufactured parts against the original CAD models. Every batch is sampled and verified before release.

Material

Traceable Aluminum

We source US-made 7075-T6 and 6061-T6 aluminum with traceable Material Test Reports. No unknown imported castings or unverified material.

White-label manufacturing

ATF Marking Variances

For Type 07 FFL manufacturers, Tactical Machining can manufacture receivers marked with your company name, city, and state under an approved ATF marking variance.

This gives qualified brands a path to sell receivers under their own markings without purchasing and staffing a complete CNC production line.

The Process

We help prepare and submit the variance request to the ATF Firearms and Ammunition Technology Division.

The Result

Approved projects can be produced with the required customer markings and agreed-upon product configuration.

The Compliance

Project markings are completed according to the approved variance and applicable requirements. Review ATF Ruling 2008-1.

Common Project Questions

Use the form below if your project requires a configuration not covered here.

What are your minimum order quantities?

For standard products such as our AR-15 80% lowers, tiered pricing can start at 10 units. Custom variance and private-label runs typically start at 50 to 100 units depending on machining, finishing, and marking requirements.

Do you offer anodizing services?

Yes. Products can be delivered raw or with Mil-Spec Type III hardcoat anodizing. Available finishes and production requirements are confirmed during quoting.

Can you machine custom magwell engravings?

Yes. We can machine logos, model designations, and selector markings into the part. Send the artwork and specifications with your project information so the team can review placement and manufacturability.

Do you sell 80% lowers to dealers?

Yes. Dealers can request volume pricing for standard receiver products. Include your company, product, and estimated quantity in the inquiry form below.
