OEM Manufacturing

The Engine Behind the Firearms Industry

We don't just sell parts. We are the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for some of the largest brands in the country. Secure your supply chain by going direct to the source.

Stop Renting Your Supply Chain

Most "manufacturers" in this industry are actually marketing companies. They rely on job shops to fulfill orders, leaving them vulnerable to price hikes, quality fade, and lead time explosions.

Tactical Machining is different. We operate a state-of-the-art facility in the USA equipped with high-speed HAAS CNC mills and lathes. Because we own the machines, the material, and the anodizing relationships, we offer:

  • Supply Chain Immunity: We stock tons of 7075-T6 forgings and 6061-T6 billet, insulating you from market shortages.
  • Zero Middleman Markup: Pricing is based on machine time and material cost, not "dealer tier" arbitrage.
  • Litigation-Tested Stability: As a primary plaintiff in Garland v. VanDerStok, we have proven we will fight—and spend—to keep this industry alive.

Production Capabilities & Tolerances

Precision Milling

We hold critical dimensions on lower receivers (such as trigger pin holes and pivot pin spacing) to within +/- 0.001". Our fixtures are custom-designed in-house to ensure repeatability across production runs of 10,000+ units.

CMM Verification

Quality isn't a guess; it's data. We utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to digitally map parts against the original CAD models. Every batch is sampled and verified before it ever leaves the floor.

Material Science

We strictly source US-made 7075-T6 and 6061-T6 aluminum with traceable Material Test Reports (MTRs). We do not use "mystery metal" or re-melted imported castings.

ATF Marking Variances (White Labeling)

For FFL holders (Type 07 Manufacturers), we offer ATF Marking Variances. This legal process allows Tactical Machining to manufacture firearms (receivers/frames) marked with your company name, city, and state directly on our machines.

This is the "Secret Weapon" of the industry. It allows you to sell receivers as the Manufacturer of Record without investing $500,000 in CNC equipment.

  • The Process: We submit a variance request to the ATF Firearms Technology Industry Services Branch (FTISB) on your behalf.
  • The Result: You receive finished, serialized lowers (or 80% units customized with your logo) ready for sale.
  • The Compliance: We strictly adhere to ATF Ruling 2008-1 regarding marking depth (0.003") and height (1/16").

OEM & Wholesale Frequently Asked Questions

What are your Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs)?

For standard products (like our AR-15 80% lowers), we offer tiered pricing starting at just 10 units. For custom variance runs or private label manufacturing, our MOQ typically starts at 50-100 units depending on the complexity of the machining.

Do you offer Anodizing services?

Yes. We can deliver parts "in the white" (Raw/Tumbled) or fully finished with Mil-Spec Type III Hardcoat Anodizing (Class 2 Black). We handle the logistics so you receive a retail-ready product.

Can you machine custom magwell engravings?

Yes. Our CNC capabilities allow us to engrave your logo, model designation, and safety selector markings directly into the metal during the machining process. This is superior to surface laser engraving as it is deeper and more durable.

Do you sell 80% Lowers to dealers?

Absolutely. We are the primary supplier for many of the online retailers you see today. If you are a dealer looking to stock high-quality 80% receivers without the hassle of manufacturing, apply for a dealer account below.
